Wi-Fi-based cameras communicate over Wi-FI, while wired CCTV cameras communicate through wires. This difference gives each system its own benefits and drawbacks:

Wi-Fi camera installations cost $99.50, including app setup and configuration. Should extra cabling be required, this is billed at $85/hour. A CCTV system consists of 3 main parts: (1) the cameras, (2) the recorder, and (3) the cabling. The two main types of CCTV types are an NVR system (network video recorder) and DVR system (digital video recorder).
